Split The Difference - Gomez. Split the Difference is the fourth studio album by English indie rock band Gomez released on 17 May 2004 by Hut Records. Production on the album was overseen by the band and Tchad Blake, known for producing albums by artists such as Tom Waits and Crowded House. If you were one of those people who wrote them off. Split the Difference, the fourth album from Gomez, is a real return to basics for the band. The rampant sonic experimentalism that characterized In Our Gun is largely absent although there are some excellent details down in the mix in favor of some straight-up rock & roll. Working with someone outside the band for the first time, Gomez brought in Tchad Blake, and the result is their most straightforward rock album yet. The songs are lean, filled with great melodies, singalong choruses, and their trademark vocal harmonies. Album 2004 13 Songs. More By Gomez. See the Difference. Band Name Gomez. Split the Difference. Released 2004. Split the Difference Tracklist. Do One by Gomez. These 3 Sins. Me, You and Everybody. This isn't to say that the Southport school chums have forsaken their wonderful bag of tricks. Let's check them off: Firstly, Gomez have never tired of the cranked up intro with Otewell blaring a single note like a possessed foghorn over the top. Sure enough Where Ya Going, does just that. Next up is the aforementioned rhythmic intricacy and playfulness
