Fathom is a music album by Mortal released in 1993. Fathom by Mortal Year: 1993 Overall rank: 0th. Average Rating: 74100 from 2 votes. Mortal Format: Audio CD. Fathom however seems to be their best work. There's a bigger emphasis on song-craft, hooks, and groove. One or two songs even have a King's X sort of vibe. Other parts of the album border on thrash, and have a thrash or even an early rap-metal groove. There are still a few monotonous songs, but overall this is extremely listenable. If you are thinking of checking Mortal out and I'm not sure where to start, I would recommend starting here. Fathom Remastered, 2010. Alive and Awake, 05:42. Ne Plus Ultra, 04:17
