Wormrot themselves have claimed that they do not intend to bring anything new to the grindcore scene, but to celebrate and play what they enjoy playing the most. Their influences from classic grindcore bands are clearly prominent on their songs, such as Insect Warfare and Pretty Little Flower. I'll admit, I'm no big grindcore fan but Wormrot's Abuse has managed to capture my attention. Well, Abuse begins with an audio sample of the infamous cell phone video showing an Iranian-American student being tasered at UCLA after refusing to show his ID to security officers Lost Swines, and proceeds to skewer religion Blasphemy My Ass, the NRA Double-Feeding, everyday posers Scum Infestation. Abuse is Wormrots debut release, recorded after the band formed in 2007, subsequent to the band members' release from Singapores mandatory military service. The album was recorded indepedently in Singapore by Scrotum Jus Records, but was discovered by Earache Records and re-released in the EU and US in 2010. Abuse Q&A. More Wormrot albums. Abuse is a very fitting album title. Southeastern Asia music lovers, especially the teenage-boys who are crazy about K-pop and boybands, probably, when they try tasting this harsh music, they won't hold-out for the second track. One grind song is more than enough to sodomize and abuse their eardrums. Aarrgghhh Have 'em ear specialist, hmm, but wait, they easily can revert to their K-pop and favorite boybands, right
